Outfits!

Monday
For the first few periods, I wore a bright red hoodie from my friend Samantha's bat mitzvah which was the previous weekend but for the last few periods, me and my friend, Eva, switched shirts.
Tuesday
Me and my two other friends wore Nirvana shirts for Twinning Tuesday! My Nirvana shirt and Ramones leggings are both from Hot Topic.
Wednesday
OK this weather is getting extremely cold. Though I had another outfit planned, I went with a warm, oversized sweater, that I wore as a dress that my mom's coworker's mom gave to me. Since the sweater was rather baggy, I put a large belt of my mom's around my waist. Also, since I walk to school, I put on a pair of grey leggings to keep my legs warm. For hair, I didn't feel like straightening it so I ended up just going to school with my natural hair.
Thursday
Though the weather was still cold, I couldn't resist wearing my Pierce The Veil tank from Hot Topic with a black cami from Target underneath along with black leggings that I believe I got from my sister. For hair, to make the outfit a bit more interesting, I put a black bow with gold studs that I got from my older cousin, Maggie.
Friday
Being lazy, I couldn't figure out an outfit early in the morning and instead pulled a Charlotte Russe cut out dress from my closet along with black leggings.

Outfits!

Sunday
I wore a black top with gold studs at the collar that my aunt designed and Ramones leggings that I bought at Hot Topic (they are having a huge sale!). For hair, I kept it natural partly for I was extremely lazy and also I think it kind of looks alright.
Monday
I feel as if I haven't been wearing dresses that often so I went with a rather short, sheer, floral dress I got from Nordstrom. I barely ever shop there but I find this to be quite cute. Since the dress was rather short, I went with a pair of red leggings that I stole from my sister who I think got them from Target. I still didn't straighten my hair.
Tuesday
I was having a pretty bad hair day so I straightened my hair and wore a Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge tee that I got from Hot Topic and Sex Pistols leggings that I also got there. I took my hair and twisted a chunk of the bangs back to add something interesting to my hair.
Wednesday
I feel as though I have a serious love for band shirts. On Wednesday, I went with my Paramore shirt from Hot Topic and my favorite sheer, long, black skirt from Forever21. I love it when I sleep on seriously straight hair and it becomes a little puffy so I kept it like that.
Thursday
It has been way too hot outside to wear it but I finally got to wear my navy jacket! I am not exactly sure where I got it from for it was a Hannukah present but I am sure you could find one on Etsy or at a vintage store (though it would be a lot of money). I then wore my Sex Pistols leggings yet again.
Friday
So many leggings this week! On Friday I wore a sheer, white, tank that I got from Marshalls two years ago with a pair of Egyptian style leggings I got from Charlotte Russe. I never go to either of those stores anymore and I am not that into this outfit but its fine.

We Hit 200!

So here we are. In about two months, we produced 100 whole posts. Before I keep going, I am going to be the first to announce how absolutely insane this is. Not by the speed we did this just by the fact that How Fitting has 200 freaking posts! Instead of writing up some long post in which I cry or get emotional or something like that, I am going to just say thank you. Without so many people reading How Fitting, I would never have the motivation to write and edit seven days a week. I love you.

Sunday Diary: Who You Are Is Not What You've Been

The air is brisk as I walk past all the same familiar homes. The leaves crunch under my favorite black boots. You can smell Autumn in the air. I walk up the stone pathway of the elementary school I used to attend. I soon stop and sit myself down on the prickly grass. It is slowly dying just like all the other nature around me. I am just there in the front of the school cross legged as I check my phone. I am not even really sure what I am doing here. I just like the scene. I like the welcoming doors and rainbow sign that tells you when all the events are. It sure is much happier and cheery than the middle school. I pick myself up, about to leave, when I spot three familiar steps. The same stone steps I sat on every morning of fifth grade. I used to always want to be the first to sit on them so I could brag to my friends. Now, I find there to be comfort in being the last to get to school. The setting is beyond peaceful. There are no cars or shouts or even voices to break this moment. I close my eyes, thinking back to my times in fifth grade. I used to cringe at every single one but now I am at peace with these experiences. My actions are not erasable and therefor the only thing I can really do is just not care about them anymore. As Taylor Swift once said, who you are is not what you've been. This makes me think about how I should really come to peace with all those terrible memories. So what if I was a bitch a year ago? As long as I am not that person in the present, I am fine.

Friday Extra: Inside Ann's Collage Book

The cover of my book. I found the quote on one of Tavi's old journals and found it really cool.

"We could just listen to vinyl all day long"

Based off the Alex Day song "You and Me"

I wrote all the lyrics to "Royals" by Lorde as the background.

I drew the flowers on green construction paper and outlined everything in metallic sharpie.

My Marina and The Diamonds collage
I used a letter I got from my school as the background
"Are you going to class today?"
"I don't think I'm emotionally prepared." I ripped a page out of my math text book for the background

I once used this in my "Pipes" post from a couple months ago

I used yet another page out of the textbook for this one and outlined a lot of things in metallic sharpie. I really wanted to put some words on the page and Vivi and I were on spotify so when an ad for an album called "Redneck Crazy" came on, I couldn't resist.

Yet another textbook background

"We crave a different kind of buzz"

I couldn't resist using another page out of the textbook. I had no idea what to write on the side so I went with a Great Gatsby quote.

These are just a couple from last week!

Glamour Kills Winter Line

After weeks of waiting, the Glamour Kills winter line has finally been released! The collection of clothing includes adorable leather jackets, fuzzy sweaters, slouchy sweatshirts, some really nice V-necks, and two awesome beanies. The entire line has a rather laid back look to it which I like a lot for it isn't too pretentious and though I would probably not wear such slouchy clothing to school, it is great for just a fun time hanging out with friends.
Most of the sweatshirts and V-necks have graphics on them and though I am not always one for graphic tees, I actually love the unique ones they used for these tops.
Though there are only two beanies for this line, I really love both of them. They are both knitted and give off a warm and cozy feel. I also like the touch of a small puff ball on top of them and I have no idea why I like it so much.
My favorite part of the entire line would have to be the jackets though. They have many choices of different styles of outerwear from leather to denim and the best part is that every plain jacket comes with a pack of patches so people can customize their clothing. I find that idea to be genius so now no jacket is the same.
Just an overall comment on Glamor Kills is that I absolutely love how they have a look book so customers can get ideas for outfits. My favorite of these pictures being an outfit using one of their new leather jackets.
I actually love this new clothing line and if you want to check out more, go here

Misadventure

Just last week, the Irish singer, Bribry finally released his EP, Misadventure. Though his previous albums have all been just plain amazing, I have to say that not only did this one exceed all my expectations, but all the tracks could possibly be the best he has ever released. Every single song seemed so raw and personal. Like he was sharing a part of himself with his listeners. The songs also have great range. From fun songs like "Home" to gorgeous ballads such as "Litte'an" the entire EP comes together extremely well without each song sounding the same.
To say the least about the lyrics, they were extraordinary. You can always count on Bribry for awesome lyrics. The best part about them was how Bribry they were. You could tell he wrote them himself and how much personality he packed into the words. A majority of his audience can easily connect to the things he sings about which I find to be an extremely important trait in the music industry. The lyrics will make you smile, laugh, and most of all, make you feel touched my the end. My favorite line of his would have to come from the third track on the EP "Misadventure" in which he says
"Now I'm counting up my friends on one single hand." for I have been there many times.
The entire album is fun to listen to while still being touching and heartfelt which I can't help but love.
