There is a very misunderstood topic that I felt as though had to be cleared up: "What the hell is an introvert?"
Lots of people are introverts. I'm an introvert. WAIT. Don't judge me. I love hanging out with people. I love talking to others but I get most of my energy from being by myself and having time to think. Yes, I may come off as a loner. Not at all. In fact there is a HUGE line between loner and introvert.
As opposed to people who are extroverts, introverts find hanging out with others draining and when they are tired, like to recharge and spend time alone. While extroverts find being alone draining and hang out with others to regain energy. Got it yet?
Another myth about introverts is that they are depressed or antisocial. Since when did not wanting to spend every single second with human beings make you diagnosed with depression? An introverted person finds being alone and to themselves comforting and have good times even though they are not with others. An introvert is happy to be by themselves and find peace with that.
I am a blogger. As you all can see, I don't get paid to write for "How Fitting" and I'm not being forced or bribed to. I love what I do and that is exactly why I do it. Even though I regularly spend time with friends and loved ones, I like to recharge and give some time to myself to do the thing that gives me my energy. Blogging.
Another thing that many people are confused and mistaken with introverts is that they are shy. Of course some introverts are shy. Some extroverts are too. A person's shyness has nothing to do with them being an introvert and extrovert. Yes, a lot of introverts are more quiet but that does not make us shy or antisocial.
Lastly, don't brand an introvert. We are not all the same. That is like saying that all blondes are dumb or all tall people are good at basketball. You cannot brand a group of people. Clearly, we are not all the same. Don't put a label on someone's forehead.
If you are an introvert yourself, don't be ashamed. Don't try and become an extrovert. This is who you are and you can't change that.
Don't try to be somebody you're not.

This is true. I used to think i was an extro because im unafraid to express opinions in class and be the leader, but my sister (who graduated Psychology) said i am an introvert, so i guess that term is pretty vast and multi faceted.
