Things You Must See- April

Happy April! Now that we've said goodbye to the month of March, it's time for something new! Over the past few weeks I have come up with a list of things you must see. Warning: After reading this you may no longer have a life.
Music
Over the past couple months I have begun to say good-bye to the Pop genre and bands such as One Direction and singers like the lovely Taylor Swift and have gotten into a serious obsession with Punk and Rock.
The best Punk band I'd recommend would have to be All Time Low an edgy band with the members Rian Dawson, Zack Merrick, Alex Gaskarth, and Jack Barakat. Most of their songs have a certain edge of attitude and defiance that anyone who likes the Punk Rock genre will instantly fall in love with.
I've also lately been obsessed with "Punk Goes Pop" a collection of different artists who take popular pop songs and turn them into punk. It's really awesome to see songs that you hear on the radio be remixed into this genre. The album features bands like: MayDay Parade, The Ready Set, Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, and tons of other amazing punk bands.
Rock On All You Punk Lovers. Rock ON.

Television
One of my favorite shows in the world would have to be The New Normal, a comedy about a gay couple and their surrogate and her homophobic grandmother. One of the many reasons why I love this show is for how unique it is and how funny you can take a situation that many people are going through.
Another show that I highly recommend is the FOX comedy New Girl. New Girl is extremely funny and the characters oddly relate able. It's quirky, funny, and it will get you addicted.

Books
I have the attention span of a three year old child so I tend to never finish books but this month I am proud to actually say that I have finished a novel and genuinely enjoyed it. The Vast Fields Of Ordinary is a novel about a young gay teenager who has only come out to a couple of his friends and himself. Throughout the span of the book the main character, Dade meets some pretty cool people including an open lesbian, a gay drug dealer, and an overly awkward girl. To be honest, I actually enjoyed reading it. Judge me.

Food
When it comes to food, all I can seem to think about this month is the fact that Mega Stuff Oreos are in existence. Not double stuff. I'm talking Mega freaking stuffed. All I can say is that they are magical.

Hope you have an AMAZING April! I'm dearly sorry if you no longer have any life after getting into any of the things I suggested!

Get The Look: Perrie Edwards

Perrie Edwards
Perrie is one of my favorite fashion icons for you never know what's next with her! One minute she's platinum blond next she has bubblegum pink locks! Even though it's hard to follow up with her hair colors and styles, I've almost decoded the edgy style of Perrie Edwards.
Perrie is a singer in "Little Mix" a girl group that almost reminds me of "The Spice Girls" being that each girl has a different personality and style which where Perrie would be a perfect fit for the edgy one.
Clothes
Perrie's style is very girly but she stills seems to add a unique and personalized look to it. To get this cute and stylish look, I'd go for bright and fun colors mixed with a unique accessory such as Perrie's bow tie! If you want a more glam look, mix and match a couple cute chunky necklaces!
Where To Find: Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, and vintage
Hair
Even though Perrie's hair is unpredictable one thing you can definitely work out is her accessories! One reoccurring theme is those flowers! Wearing a large flower crown like the one shown on the side, gives a cute and girly look while wearing a thinner and more wiry floral headband gives a more casual and boho look to any outfit.
In addition, one thing Perrie defiantly rocks is those curls! If you want to get these gorgeous tresses all you will need is a curling iron, a hairbrush, and a bit of product (I suggest Frizz Ease) and roll the iron up your head, dropping it once you get to the top of your scalp. If you want to make a more loose curl like Perrie's then don't roll the hair into the iron so tight.
Where to find: topshop
Make Up
Perrie Edwards has very pure skin that looks amazing with the dark makeup she uses! To get Perrie's flawless skin, I suggest using Clearasil everyday and then using a very thin layer of bronzer and patting that on your cheeks. For eyes Perrie uses a thick layer on the edge of her eyelid and tapers up as she finishes, creating a cute cat eye.

Latest Trends and DIY- Dip Dye

We even dyed the cat! Yeah... That's my family
Before Dip dying!
Yes, as you can see this is a "Latest Trends" and DIY post all in one! Right now I've been seeing a lot of people (mostly female) doing dip dye. I love the careless look of the uneven streaks. The ways to wear it depend on the color you choose. Cool colors such as blue, green, and purple add a cute and fun look while warm colors like red, yellow, and orange add a careless rocker look to any outfit! The thing that I like a lot about kool aid is that it doesn't last very long and is only temporary so you don't have to commit yourself to  one color and can change it up for different looks.
Surprisingly, the whole look is simple, cheap, and easy to do. To test out this new trend my sister and I dip dyed our hair to show you guys how to do it! The two of us mixed Black Cherry and Strawberry together to make a bright red!
Materials:
-Kool Aid (your choice of color)
-A pot
-water
-a paint brush
-Paper Towels
-A friend
BEFORE DIP DYING:
Brush your hair out and change into a shirt that you don't care much about

Step One:
Depending on how much hair you have and how much you want in, put the powder into a pot of water (two packets is good for people with thick hair. One for thin hair). Boil the water
Be careful not to burn yourself!

Step Two:
Take the pot off the stove. You will need another person to do this step for you. Place the pot on a counter and take a seat on a chair pressed up against it. Lean you head back and let your friend place pieces of your hair (one piece at a time!) into the kool aid. Keep it in for a couple seconds (longer if you have darker hair). To give the streaks that dip dye look put some pieces in deeper making almost a pattern of short and long streaks. To get high up on your head, use a paintbrush.

Pat it dry
Step Three:
Take your hair out and pat it dry with a paper towel or dish rag. Your hair will feel hot and probably smell pretty gross from the Kool Aid.

Once Done:
The colors will look darker this is because your hair is wet. I suggest you blow it out so you can see it! The color will begin to wash out after a couple of showers.

Still Wet!
Smile! You and your streaks look gorgeous!
